Tweet Break: Cowboys Offense Ready to Roll

The 2016 Dallas Cowboys offense has a chance to be one of the most explosive and fun to watch units in the entire NFL. Operating through the most dominant offensive line in football, QB Tony Romo and WR Dez Bryant are in a prime position to make big plays in their respective returns to the field this season, along with rookie running back sensation Ezekiel Elliott.

Cole Beasley, Brice Butler, Terrance Williams, Darius Jackson, Alfred Morris, Jason Witten, and a plethora of other offensive weapons will also help put this offense over the top. In this week’s edition of Tweet Break here on Inside The Star, we’ll check in with some of these big offensive names both on and off the field.

Let’s go!

It is fitting to begin with Ezekiel Elliott, as the hype around Dallas’ fourth overall pick out of Ohio State continues to grow. Here, you see ESPN not holding back at all in adding to that hype, but bringing Zeke in for part of their upcoming 2016 Monday Night Football intro.

Elliott, in the flashy scarlet suit, stands proudly next to Vikings’ running back Adrian Peterson and former Lions’ great Barry Sanders. Talk about being in nice company as a rookie…

…elsewhere in the Cowboys’ crowded backfield, Lance Dunbar is looking to keep his name in the mix while rehabbing for training camp after having his 2015 season cut short with a torn ACL and MCL.

Dunbar is apparently making great progress, and looks to be a key element to the Cowboys versatile offense once fully healthy, catching passes out of the backfield and as a receiver.

Of course, you can’t talk about Ezekiel Elliott, Lance Dunbar, and the Dallas Cowboys running backs without mentioning the overwhelmingly talented offensive line that blocks for them on every play. Dominating on this offensive line since his rookie year in 2014 has been right guard Zack Martin, who is now recently married leading up to 2016 training camp.

As a proud owner of an authentic #70 Zack Martin jersey, I congratulate Martin – as did my fellow Staff Writer Brian Martin. Team Martin!

Moving on to the Cowboys’ passing attack, you’ll see just another Dez Bryant highlight that will make you all the more ready for his return to action. Additionally, fans should be excited about Cole Beasley, who should not only receive a boost from having Romo back on the field, but perhaps an added element to his game due to off season work with Randy Moss.

Who’s ready to watch the Cowboys put up some points on Sundays?

WOAH SEAN WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!? ALL OF THESE TWEETS ABOUT THE COWBOYS OFFENSE HAD ME SO FIRED UP, AND NOW YOU’RE REFERENCING MATT CASSEL. HE’S NOT EVEN WITH THE TEAM ANYMORE, THIS MAKES NO SENSE!

Calm down, Cowboys Nation. To conclude this week’s offensive edition of Tweet Break, I decided to have a little fun and include this gaff from ESPN Dallas – who recirculated this article to their followers. It received the reaction you would expect, considering Cassel won one game under center for Dallas, as fans tore the tweet apart.

Here is one of my favorite reactions to it, brought to you by Inside The Star Staff Writer Jess Haynie:
