Cowboys Draft: 8 WR Prospects To Watch At The NFL Combine

With the 2017 NFL combine drawing closer by the day (Friday, March 3), I thought it would be a good idea to identify some of the participants that the Dallas Cowboys will probably be paying close attention to. I’ve already identified several of the defensive ends and cornerbacks to watch during the different events, but the Cowboys have a need at the wide receiver position as well.

I would actually be surprised if the Cowboys brought back Terrance Williams or Brice Butler.  There is already a lot of money invested in the offensive side of the ball and they still have to find a way to extend Zack Martin‘s contract. That likely means they will choose to go younger and cheaper at the WR position. Which by the way is why they will be watching the wide receiver group particularly close in preparation for the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft.

For me, the wide receivers are one of the more enjoyable positions to study. I actually had no problem coming up with numerous prospects that fit into the Dallas Cowboys WR parameters (6’2″, 200). I eventually got it down to eight WR prospects that could step in as rookie’s and replace Terrance Williams’ production.
